Actor Jiiva Biography

Jiiva is one of the young talanted South-Indian Actor, who mostly appears in Tamil films. He was born on 4th January 1984. His real name is Amar B. Choudry. He is the youngest son of successful film maker R.B. Choudry. He began his career as a child Artist in his father's Film 'Cheran Pandian' and 'Perumpulee'. In 2003 he entered again in Tamil Cinema and made his first debut as a lead Actor through romantic film 'AasaiAasaiyai' on his dad's production followed by 'Thithikkudhe' in the same year 2003.

Audiences liked him as the boy next door for his charming look. After two years, In 2005 he acted in Ameer's mystery thriller movie 'Raam'. This film gained him lots of recognition in the Industry for his versatile acting. He won his first best Actor Award for this Film at the Cyprus International Film festival and the film was also screened at the International Film Festival in Goa. Jiiva got a lot of optimistic remarks for this Film. In 2006 his next film 'Dishyum' released, which portrayed him as a stunt man. This film has different story also carried fabulous reviews. In an Interview Actor jiiva said, that he had risked his life in many of the stunts he performed in the Film.

Jiiva made his debut in Malayalam Cinema in the film 'KeerthiChakra' along with Malayalam super star Mohanlal. 'KeerthiChakra' was dubbed in Tamil as 'Aran'. This Film did well at box-office. Jiiva played the role of Mohanlal's army buddy in Aran. He won Asianet film award for best pair shared with actress Kopika.

Jiiva acted as a slum dweller in 'E' which was released in 2006, this film was well received by the audience and he got much praises for his adaptable role. He then starred in 'Kattradhu Tamil' (2007) and showed him again as versatility actor; this film has been taken one year to shot. In this Film he played a psychopath role with long beard look. This film was admired by the critics and typical movie lovers. In the same year his film 'Rameshwaram' released and 2008 he gave super hit massala movie 'Thenavattu'.

In 2009 he acted in a pleasantry film 'Siva Manasula Sakthi' made by debut director Rajesh. His appearance in the movie was drunken youth with humorous person. The dialogue in the movie 'Machi oru Quarter sollen' is still popular among youngsters. The film recorded super hit success in box-office. In 2010, he starred 'Kacheri Arambam' an entertaining movie did good business. 'SingamPuli' was his first 2011 release, in which he played dual roles for the first time in his carrer. His Second release for 2011 was K. V. Anand's political roller costar 'KO'; he appeared as a brave photo journalist in KO. This film was a biggest hit in his career and also jiiva's performance was well received by fans. Later 'KO' was dubbed as ' Rangam' in telugu which was also made big Hit. Jiiva won lots of telgu audience hearts through KO, and became one of the most wanted actors in Tamil cinema. His next two films 'Rowthiram' and 'VandhanVendran' released in quick succession also dubbed in Telugu.

In 2012, he was first seen in ace director Shankar's multi starrer comedy-drama Film 'Nanban' with Ilayathalapathy Vijay which was the remake of Hindi 3Idiots. This film got very good reviews and ran 100 days in box-office. Currently he is working with Driector Mysskin's Super hero film 'Mugamoodi' and Gautham Menon's romantic 'Neethane En Ponvasanthanm'. Both films are expected to release this year. In summer 2012 he is going to start work with director Ahmed's film pairing with Actress Trisha titled 'Endrendrum Punnagai'. After that, he is also commited to work on Bejoy Nambiar's upcoming film David along with Actor Vikram. Moreover he has confirmed that he would be act with Actor Jayam Ravi for S. P. Jananathan's upcoming flick.
